Wow, where has the time gone? As Ginny said in her last email, I can’t believe it’s been almost 40 years! I feel like the same person who took unreadable notes in class, stayed late in the dining hall drinking tea, and who flopped on the chairs of the Hub during exam teas.
Your reunion committee has been hard at work! In addition to the regular Alumnae Weekend events, here’s what we have planned:
Friday night we have reserved a room at Manuel’s Tavern for us to get together between 6 and 8 pm. (Folks can stay later too.) Manuel’s has been renovated recently but it’s still the great pub it used to be. It has pretty good bar food too – and soft drinks for those who don’t drink. Should be a good time to visit with each other.
After the Saturday daytime activities, we have a Tuscan dinner scheduled at 6:30 on the terrace of the McCain library. Don’t worry – we have a backup place in case of rain! We’ll have wine and cheeses and yummy food (we did the food tasting!) and it should be a great time for us to get together as a group. Hope you have it on the schedule.
Sunday morning, Anne Griner Watkins has once again agreed to have brunch at 11 am in her lovely College Park Victorian home. For those of you flying in – she’s near the airport, so make the time to come by.
And did I mention we have spirit wear planned? Get registered!
Update – as of April 5, pre-registration has closed. You can register on site on Alumnae Weekend, but we ask that you email Anne Watkins in advance to let us know what events you are attending so we can plan for enough food. Thanks!
See you real soon!
